This year The Christmas Cycle will continue with its third story:
The Gift, Story of the Magi
First offered in January, 1985, this story takes place late in The Christmas Cycle and occurs on January 6, Epiphany, thirteen days after the birth of the miraculous child.
After resting and recovering for 12 days, the child and his parents are visited by travelers from a faraway place – wisemen, Magi. Guided by a star, the Magi have been searching across the surface of the earth for the birth of a great being. Upon finding the baby, they immediately recognize the never before seen beauty of this holy child, and their lives are changed forever.
A pre-talk precedes the story discussing the calendar of the Christmas season, how it relates to the natural world in the northern hemisphere, and the significant opportunities this season offers for deepening as a human being on the earth. Details of the story are discussed and illuminated with visual aids.
For adults and mature children.
There are some dark moments within the story.

“I’ve heard your Christmas stories for many years, and this may be my favorite one. The rich language creates such wonderful imagery. There is a tactile quality.
Before hearing the story, I had never given any thought to the wisemen as people and they really have come alive for me—the journeying itself became a living thing.”
